In order to provide the very best service to our clients, the following are terms and conditions we operate by, and are non negotiable.
Prices are subject to reasonable change without notice, due to ingredient / petrol price increases.
Delivery is free of charge within Howick - further afield is charged at AA Rates per km return.
All orders incur a setup fee of R150,00, as cakes are assembled at the venue, to avoid damage in transit.
Bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of our signed contract and 50% NON REFUNDABLE deposit. Deposits are required within 24 hours of invoice to secure your date.
Balances, not paid cleared within our account by 30 days prior to delivery will invalidate the contract, and the cake CANNOT be supplied.
Any cake cancelled by the client, 3 - 4 weeks or more prior to the wedding date will receive a 75% refund on any payments made excluding the deposit.
Orders cancelled by the client, 2 to 3 weeks prior to the wedding date will receive a 50% refund, excluding the deposit amount.
Orders cancelled less than 2 weeks prior to the wedding date will regretfully not be entitled to any refunds.
We understand that plans change, and as such, we will attempt to accommodate design changes to the cake, however this will depend entirely on the work already carried out on the cake, and no changes can be accommodated within 4 weeks of the delivery date.
Any changes are to be notified to us, in writing. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that this communication has been received by us.
It may become necessary to substitute Seasonal Items, subject to availability
We cannot accept responsibity for any damages done to the cake after delivery, when the cake is out of our care.
We accept no responsibility for damages to cakes which are collected from us, after such cakes leave our premises.
Upon delivery, photographs of the cake will be taken from various angles, and will serve as proof that the cake has been delivered and received in good order.
Consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is acceptable for the purpose for which it has been supplied.
The Client is responsible for providing a sturdy and secure table for the cake.
The cake is baked in a kitchen containing milk, wheat, nuts, soy and other allergens. There is a possibility of exposure to allergens.
All cakes are individually hand crafted, and therefore no two will ever be identical. Images supplied to us are accepted as being for illustrative purposes only, and we cannot reproduce an exact copy, as this infringes on the rights of the original designer of the cake. In the same manner, designs of our cakes are not to copied or published without our priorconsent.
Sponge cakes are intended to be eaten on the day of the celebration, or within 3 days thereof.
Fondant is not designed to be refrigerated, and as such cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool dry place. Refrigeration causes “sweating” and stickiness of fondant and should be avoided.
To prevent staleness of the cake, decor is only done one or two days prior to, or the day of the celebration, therefore viewing prior to delivery is not possible.
From time to time our designs are published in National Wedding Cake Magazines and other publications, and we reserve the right to use any image of a cake made by us, for publication.
